Welcome to wpGuate.com! We are a team of passionate professionals dedicated to managing WordPress websites with expertise and precision. Our name comes from the fact that we are based in the beautiful country of Guatemala.
Our founder is an industrial engineer with an MBA who stumbled upon his love for website design while working as a Process Engineer for a large food manufacturing plant.
Our founder started learning HTML and CSS in his spare time around 2006, constantly reading books and watching online tutorials. In 2007, he discovered content websites on marketplaces like flippa.com, and noticed that most of them were using WordPress as a CMS. From there, he taught himself everything there is to know about managing WordPress websites – from website security, backups, and email setup to transferring websites from one host to another.
Our founder began buying and selling websites, optimizing them and keeping them for 6 to 12 months before selling them for a profit. This helped him become an expert in managing WordPress sites, and by 2014 he had left his corporate job to focus solely on his business of buying and selling content websites. When his friends and family heard about his success, they started requesting his services to manage their business websites.
That’s when wpGuate.com was born – a platform to manage his own portfolio of websites, as well as those of his friends, family, and now clients.
